Honoring 2025: Community Care in Real Time

As we step into a new year, I realized we never officially paused to reflect on everything that unfolded in 2025 — and there was so much worth honoring.

Through Take Care Health & Wellness, we were able to deliver over 200 free and low-cost services this past year. These services represent not just visits, but relationships — many individuals returning for continued care and support.

This vision only works because of you — our members, providers, donors, collaborators, and neighbors who believe that care should be accessible and human.

I want to say thank you — truly. Take Care and Our Wellness Community started as an idea rooted in service, and watching it come to life through collective effort continues to humble me. This work is not possible alone. Every visit, every volunteer hour, every referral, every conversation matters more than you know.

💛 Community Care in Real Time

One of our longtime OWC community mamas experienced an unimaginable loss recently. Her partner passed away unexpectedly while preparing for a storm.

Our community has had the honor of walking alongside her and her family for many years — from supporting her through pregnancy and postpartum, to watching her children grow, and sharing her herbal remedies (tinctures, fire cider, elderberry, and colloidal silver) with our wider community here in the space.

If you feel called to support her and her children during this time, a GoFundMe has been created to help carry them through the weeks ahead.

Thank you for holding our community with such compassion.

📅 Upcoming Events & Community Updates

Due to January’s inclement weather, we had to cancel our scheduled clinic day. Rather than fully skipping care, we opened a brief application process and were still able to serve seven individuals one-on-one. We’re deeply grateful for the flexibility and understanding shown during that time.

As we move forward, we’re making a small but important shift to better serve both our community and our providers. Take Care Clinic will resume in February, returning to a community format and morning hours.

🌿 Our Wellness Community: The Collective

OWC continues to grow as a true cooperative of care — a shared space where independent providers come together under values of accessibility, integrity, and collaboration.

Our collective currently includes:

We’re also excited to welcome new providers into the space — bringing even more depth, specialties, and availability for our community. Be on the lookout for individual introductions soon.

Our Wellness Community is a shared wellness space home to independently owned practices. Each provider is solely responsible for their services.

We are deeply grateful for usefull, our refill shop partner inside OWC. Their ongoing commitment to sustainability and community care directly supports Take Care Health & Wellness, and their events continue to bring people together in powerful ways.

If you haven’t attended one yet — consider this your nudge.
