A Guide for Your Journey:
Hello, I’m Suzie. I believe that therapy is a shared journey of exploration and healing, and I am honored to walk alongside adults who are seeking change. My role is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can unpack burdens, discover your strengths, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and meaningful.
My Approach to Our Work Together:
My practice is dedicated to supporting adults (18+) through life's complex challenges. I often work with individuals navigating:
· Grief & Loss: Whether a recent death or a long-carried sorrow, including complicated grief and the unique heartbreak of losing a child.
· Life Transitions: Adjusting to major changes, chronic illness, or searching for renewed purpose.
· Emotional Struggles: Managing anxiety, depression, anger, shame, or emotional regulation.
· Healing from Trauma: Processing past experiences to reclaim a sense of safety and self.
My perspective is deeply informed by over 150 hours of specialized training in grief and life transition with Dr. Alan Wolfelt. This "companioning" model means I focus on listening, learning about your unique experience, and supporting you—not on "fixing" you. I blend this with practical strategies to help improve your daily functioning and emotional well-being.

Book Compassionate Telehealth Counseling now in Texas and Arkansas.
Having recently returned to my home state of Arkansas after decades in Texas, I now offer tele-health services exclusively, allowing me to connect with clients across both Arkansas and Texas with flexible daytime and evening appointments.
My Path to This Work:
My professional journey has been built on diverse experiences that taught me the many facets of human resilience. After earning my master’s and becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2002, I worked in settings ranging from a crisis hotline and a behavioral hospital to managing a program for individuals experiencing homelessness. For over a decade, I have served clients through my private practice, Suzie Abercrombie, LPC, PLLC.
Taking the Next Step:
Starting therapy is an act of courage. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to understand yourself more deeply, I invite you to reach out. We can have a conversation to discuss your hopes and determine if working together feels like a good fit.
I look forward to hearing from you.
